November Wishlist

November Wishlist

There has been a few things that have caught my eye recently so I thought I would share them with you all!

1. Ana Faux Fur Jacket - I have wanted a black faux fur jacket for what has seemed like forever, I already own a leopard print one, but you know, black is my thang! I spotted this beaut from +Missguided on Charlotte's blog and fell in love!

2. Lurex Crop Top - I have been trying to avoid Topshop all together, mainly because my addiction to it was getting way expensive. Despite this I still have the odd nosy at the "New In" section. I luuuurve this top, it would look perfect with some high waisted mom jeans and a sock and sandal combo!

3. Hearts and Bows Morta Velvet Kimono - This kimono is gorgeous, it has a real Fleetwood Mac Stevie Nicks vibe about it. The metallic detailing on the hem is beautiful; not to mention its made of velvet - what's not to love?!

4. Sun Moon and Stars Babydoll Dress - You know when you see a piece of clothing and your like that's a 'me' dress, well that's what this is. I have no idea why I haven't bought it yet as I love all things celestial, it has been sitting in my +Motel Rocks wishlist forever so I think it's time it was officially mine.

5. ASOS 90's silver rings - These rings are so awesome, I love wearing rings but unfortunately have fat knuckle syndrome (makes ring purchasing dead awkward), luckily these are adjustable!

6. Lucifer Platform Sandals - Oh my gawd these shoes are perfect. To be honest I wish I had never laid eyes on them, as they're pretty steep at £72. *Cry*  Please can somebody let me know if you find any cheaper alternatives! I need them in my life.

7, Metallic Satchel Handbag - I have featured the silver version of this satchel on here before in a previous wishlist but have suddenly become a fan of gold; maybe its the (premature) Christmas spirit coming out of me - I dunno!

7. Black Patent Block Heel Boots - These boots from +Public Desire are a dead ringer for the Topshop absolutely chelsea boots, I'm definitely going to be purchasing them very soon, they will look great styled with skater dresses, skinnies or mom jeans!

So that's my wishlist for this month, what do you guys think? What's your favourite piece?

Outfit Of The Day | Enter Sandman

Coat - Primark
Cardigan -  Primark
T-shirt - Topshop
DIY Ripped Jeans - H&M
Duffle Bag - Primark

My lovely boyfriend whisked me away to Bournemouth recently, for a weekend in a fancy hotel to celebrate our year anniversary. I'm not used to fancy so it was a real treat, made even more so by the fact that we had a Jacuzzi bath and champers! It was a well needed break for us both, as we have had such a busy summer working and not much time for each other. We mostly spent our time relaxing, swimming, and using the saunas at the hotel. I didn't want to come home to be honest!
These pictures were taken on Bournemouth beach. It was such a beautiful day and, as you can see from my squinty face, the sun was in its full glory. I couldn't resist taking some pictures in front of one of the pastel beach huts; I chose the mint green one, naturally.

Now onto the outfit! You know when you buy something new and you just wear it to death? That's what has happened with this Primark coat. I bought it on a recent shopping trip and have not stopped wearing it, no matter how hard I've tried. It just gives every outfit that extra something, you know, even my standard waitress uniform now looks fashionable! The cardigan I have had for a while, it's the perfect slouchy ensemble and is baggy enough for over-sized t-shirts to be worn underneath (I really hate those cardigans that can only fit thin tops underneath - pointless!). I wore my Metallica tee from Topshop underneath; I love band t-shirts, especially old-school metal ones.
On another note, my favourite jeans ever decided that after 3 years of pretty much wearing them constantly, they were going to give up the ghost and fail on me with the zip breaking. Bollocks. Still they had a good run. RIP jeans.

Outfit Of The Day | Wednesday Addams

Shirt - Boyfriends
Jumper - H&M (old)
Dress - ASOS
Necklace - DIY
Pumpkin - DIY
Knife - Kitchen

Bit of a spooky-esque outfit post today - Wednesday Addams style! If you follow me on Instagram, you will have already seen my Halloween outfit but here it is in a little more detail.
This was what I wore to work, I was so excited when I found out we were allowed to dress up. It was a pretty last minute costume idea, as I only found out the day before Halloween, but I think it turned out really well, and I received a lot of compliments on it - which was nice! The dress I have had for ages, it was perfect for this outfit as it is slightly baggy so it meant the shirt underneath wasn't too bulky. Originally I was going to wear just the shirt and dress but it wasn't quite Wednesday Addams enough and remembered this H&M jumper. I'm not going to lie I was absolutely boiling, I work as a waitress so you can imagine how hot I was, rushing about! The shoes are my fave recent purchase, you can't really see them in these photos but they are the chunky patent brogues from Primark. I bloody love them! I had seen them on people's blogs and Instagram and knew I had to have them. They were the last pair of Size 7's so obviously they were destined to be mine. The best part? When I got to the till I mentioned that they had a few defects so the cashier said she could knock off 10%, and when she scanned them she said they were coming up as £6! (originally £14) So I got them for £5.40, deffo my bargain purchase as of late. I think they worked really well for this outfit as they're a bit school-like (they did hurt my feet after a while though so I had to change into my work pumps - fashion is so painful sometimes!). I finished the outfit with the pumpkin I carved for work and a kitchen knife - obviously. Please note the knife was just for photo purposes, I didn't serve people with a knife hanging out of my hand, that would be too much! Haha.
So that's it guys, what do you think? Did any of you guys get to dress up for work?

Last Minute Halloween Costume Ideas

If, like me, you're a bit of a last minute kinda gal then this post is for you! I have collected a few images together for costume ideas that are simple yet effective.

1. Skeleton
This look is so effective, because all you need is black and white face paint. It looks really tricky to do but trust me all you need is a steady hand. Mark it out lightly with black eye liner to start with and then fill in the gaps! To finish just sling on your favourite party dress and some edgy boots and your good to go!

2. Gothic Princess
For this look just use liquid eyeliner to draw out the creepy black vein like design above your eyes. Make sure your eyebrows are filled in nice and dark, as well as your eyes, to blend the look in and finish with a dark lip. Complete the look with a studded head band (or failing that a floral crown will also work), and a lace dress and voila you're the perfect creepy gothic princess!

3. Clingfilm Mummy
Got a lot of clingfilm lying around? Then why not wrap yourself up in it and go as a mummy?! Just wear a white dress underneath and get creative with the rest. Use talc to get your hair white and back comb the hell out of it! This costume idea is sure to get some compliments and requires minimal effort!

4. Dead Doll

Whenever I am really struggling with my last minute costume idea I turn to the dead doll look. This look has worked for me so many times. All you need is a pretty dress, some knee high socks, dolly shoes and a hair band. For the make-up hollow out your eyes with heavy black eye shadow and lots of mascara. For the lips why not try out a porcelain doll design and add stiches through them like the image above. I liked to add stitching with dripping fake blood down my neck - makes for a well creepy look!

5. Ghost
And finally for the ultimately lazy Halloween dresser go as a ghost!,
Just cut a whole in a white bed sheet, throw it over your head and paint yourself all white! If you can get your hair like Tilda Swinton's in the the image above then kudos to you! I would imagine lots of hairspray will be needed!

So that's it guys, I hope you have found this somewhat helpful, whatever you do this Hallows eve make sure you have a good one! I am off to get myself all spookified for tonight's festivities!

Spooktastic Picks | Halloween

Halloween Spooktastic Picks!

Left to right: Pop Boutique Halloween Scene Jumper // Halloween Lips Clutch Bag // Missguided Witching Hour Mesh T-Shirt // Skeleton Print Leggings //Teen Witch Slogan Jumper // Cobweb Choker Necklace // Topshop Lace Up Boots // Eye Clutch Bag // Pumpkin Socks // Monster Face Clutch

Hey guys! As Halloween is one of my favourite holidays, I thought I would pick out a few Halloween-inspired pieces that have got themselves onto my radar. Most of the picks are from Asos, as I always find a wide variety of fun and quirky pieces on their site, so much so that I struggled to narrow it down, so check out their website for lots more!
I absolutely adore the monster clutch and eye bag, and the great thing is they don't have to be worn just for Halloween, both of them would add a touch of quirkiness to any outfit! The "Teen Witch" jumper is reminiscent of Sabrina which I used to love watching as a kid, and how cute is the Pop Boutique Halloween scene jumper?! Arrgh. I really love how Halloween is such a creepy time of year, yet brands create really cute designs, because cute and creepy somehow really works.
So there you have it, my spooktastic Halloween picks. What do you guys think?
I am hopefully going to be going out for Halloween, but still unsure of a costume, its between a dead doll or Wednesday Addams. What are your Halloween plans this year?

In other news, it has been just over a year since I started blogging again. If you have been following me for a while you may remember last year's Halloween top picks!

Outfit Of The Day | You Can Go Your Own Way

Duster coat - Primark
Black Camisole Top - Newlook (old)
DIY Ripped Jeans -  H&M (old)
Beaded Handbag - Primark
Cut Out Shoes - Primark
Necklace - Urban Cult
Hat - Primark
Rings - Primark

So this is an outfit I put together the other day. I am absolutely in love with this duster style kimono from Primark. I love the tailored look it brings to an outfit, whilst remaining quite laid back.
The print is sooooo pretty! It makes a nice change to my usual 'all black' without going too far away from home! The best part - it was only £7 in the sale... I nearly died; that's a lot of material for £7!
Obviously, the kimono had to be paired with my trusty DIY ripped jeans (I begrudge paying £10 extra on a pair of jeans with a rip in!) and my cut-out man shoes from Primark that have featured on here before. Still completely obsessed with them. Finally, I own a fedora after searching for one for so long! I have quite a small head, so had trouble finding any that fit me. Thankfully, Primark saved the day with this budget-friendly one, which only cost me £7.
Now onto the bag: has anyone else seen these gorgeous, beautifully detailed, beaded handbags in Primark? I was quite taken aback to be honest. So much work has gone into them its unreal, and the quality is perfect (not bad for £10). It's the perfect handbag for date nights or drinks out with friends! They have so many different ones I found it hard to pick. Originally I bought this one and a beaded daisy one, but couldn't justify owning two so returned the latter. Sucks to be sensible sometimes!

Moschino SS15 - I'm a Barbie Girl | Get The Look

If you haven't heard about Moschino's SS15 collection yet, then you must have been living under a rock - everybody's talking about it, and it's easy to see why. Back in February, Jeremy Scott showcased his fast food affair with a McDonald's inspired collection for AW14, and this season he has gone all-out Barbie on us! The Milan catwalk show kick-started with the guests being gifted a boxed Moschino Barbie doll followed by Aqua's 90's "Barbie girl" hit blaring out ... obviously.
The collection consisted of bubblegum pink leather biker jackets and skirts, abstract retro prints and Barbie-style Moschino branding emblazoned on pink jumpers and sweatpants. Accessories were reminiscent of 90's kitsch (bubblebags helloooo!), and made the models look like you could just buy them, in a box, straight off the shelves!
Every Barbie imaginable was portrayed, from cowgirl Barbie, rollerskating Barbie (which saw model Charlotte free skating down the catwalk), Tourist Barbie, Sporty Barbie, to full
on glamour-puss Barbie in a show stopping finale piece that would have made Ken feel rather under-dressed!

(all images sourced from style.com)

Despite the fact that I am not an overly girly girl, I absolutely adore this collection. It threw me straight back to my childhood, to the days where I would sit for hours playing with my Barbie dolls. I had the Barbie caravan, cafe, jeep, swimming pool... oh and Dog Walker Barbie - anyone remember her?! God she has it all doesn't she?! It's no doubt that now the high street is going to go Barbie crazy, thanks to Jeremy Scott, so I have created a little "Get the look" collection... so that we can all have a little bubblegum pink candy-ness in our wardrobes!

Get the Barbie look

Cream And Pink Faux Fur Coat / Love Necklace / Cat Head Pink Dress / Barbie T-shirt / Lips Handbag / Neon Pink Platform Sandals / Pink Wrap Skort / Mac Candy Yum-Yum Lipstick / Moschino Style Barbie Magic Mirror iphone Case

Hope you like my Barbie style picks! Can I just say, how amazing is the phone case?! It's just like the one that was gifted to the guests at the Moschino show! Deffo going to have to get me one of them! Also, if you need some more Barbie-ness in your life, Mattel have created an Instagram for her - follow it here for lots of #OOTD , #Selfies  & outfit collages!
