Recent Purchases - 90's Grunge

So it has been a while since I have posted, unfortunately alot of drama has gone down in my life which led me to move out of my shared home with my fiance into my friends house and then back home to the Motherland. Cut a long story short I couldn't hack living in Manchester without my fiance and just needed to go back home and sort myself out before returning to uni for my final year (eeek!)

Anyway! I am all good now, and back to my spending ways (despite the fact that I should be saving) above is what I have bought over the past few weeks.

I am loving the whole grunge revival, I haven't seen that look since I was back in college (a LONG time ago), but I'm glad its come back around again. The high street is offering some awesome pieces at the moment which I cannot get enough of!

1. I have been after some form of black hat ever since re-watching the 90210 series (had some serious Ivy/Gillian Zinser hair/wardrobe/Surfer skills envy) I think they just complete an outift, they make it look edgy and stylish.
I saw this pork pie hat pop up on the "New In" section on Topshop & new I had to have it, mainly because I like pork pies lol. Unfortunately I ordered it online & it is slightly battered as they don't seem to package their hats well! Tsk! Im debating whether to exchange it for the bowler version I saw in Topshop today hmm decisions!

2. I'm a bit late on the whole "peace" wearing trend, I don't usually like wearing what everybody else wearing at the same time but loved this top enough to give in to the hype! It looks great with high waisted denim shorts, its just a shame september is now here & I probably won't get to wear it unless my some miraculous miracle we get an indian summer.

3. I love love looooove this studded sleeveless top from Ark. They always have such nice pieces for reasonable prices. Im going to wear this top with EVERYTHING!

4. Being an ex goth I have always had a thing for spikes. And now that they are main stream fashion its hard to not buy every god damn spiked thing in site! I picked up these rings today, I have seen alot of these style of rings floating around tumblr and weheartit and had a look in Topshop but there just to expensive, thankfully Newlook saved the day at £3.99 for the spike cluster ring & £3.50 for the trio set of spike rings.

5. Been after a new colour of blusher for a while now, this is a lovely colour and different to my usual pinky choices. (I will be doing a make up review shortly)

6. These lipsticks have been allover the bloggersphere so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and see what all the fuss is about! I bought Brighton rock & Pillow talk, both are gorgeous colours and really moisturising! I can't wait to wear them out and about.

So thats my haul guys, sorry again for being gone for so long, I move back to Manchester on Friday (which i'm pretty excited about) so I will have lots to blog about again :]

Hey guys, yes I know I went off the radar MEGA. I know I always say this but I have been super busy with starting my new job (which I went from bumming to hating all in the space of 4 weeks! Haha urgh) and other various dramas in my life. Hopefully I'll be back now on a regular basis! Also hi to all my new followers :] ♥ ♥ ♥

Anyway above is what I have been spending my wages on! Definitely a perk to the job!

I FINALLY own some creepers, thanks to them being pretty popular right now they finally brought some out on ebay for a fraction of the cost, I bought mine from this ebay seller, they have loads of different styles, I really want the leopard print ones next!

I went a bit crazy on the leather and then the sun decided to show its face haha. I have been after some high waisted leather shorts for so long, good old H&M fufilled that yearn of mine. They fit like a dream, I never ever ever want to take them off (I'm still wearing them now - just kidding ha) Ive decided when ever im having a crap day all I need to do is to put them on and everything will be fine!

  Revlon Matte Lipstick #004 Pink About It - ebay

Saw this lipstick featured on Lily's blog and absolutely loved the colour. I have been after a lipstick that wasn't too much for daytime wear for a while now so quickly snapped this up on ebay (the shade is actually discontinued now but there are some still available on ebay). It was an absolute bargain at £2.99 with free p&p, & came super fast!

As soon as it arrived I tried it out, it was really smooth to apply and left my lips feeling really soft & last for ages (although didn't make its way through eating a KFC haha). The colour is really lovely, brighter than I imagined so I blotted it a bit. Its a pinky orangey colour depending on how much you put on, personally I think its nicer when its a little less obvious.

The Jeffreys

Ive been trying to avoid the Jeffrey trend for a while now, mainly because I can't even walk in your average heel let alone those bad boys! But after seeing the spiked, velvet & Glitter litas, I can avoid them no more *gush* 

These are just a few of my favs from THIS website, I want them all so badly, they would look perfect with skinnies and long chiffon blouses! I'd give my right arm for any of them & my left just to be able to walk in them. Alas I fear I would look like a walking giraffe in them as I am already fairly tall, so until they bring out "tall friendly versions" or until I get over the giraffe thing we won't be meeting anytime soon. 

Or maybe I could just have them as an ornament? Hmmm ....

I'm having a bit of a spike/cross fetish at the moment, and I noticed that Asos are too. They have so many amazing pieces at the moment its hard to pick! I will definately be buying the tooth necklace, claw ring, & spike cluster ring as soon as I have some pennies.Which will be very soon as I found out today that I got the job at Home Bargains that I applied for. Its not my ideal job, but I need the money, I also had an interview at H&M in Liverpool on Tuesday so fingers crossed I get that job because it would suit me to a tee (and also its an excuse to splurge out on more H&M clothing!).

In other news Bubz & Toffi (House bunnies) still hate each other, there was a drastic moment where Bubz had hold of Toffi's foot the other day :S, no major injuries though! Me and Martyn are still desperately wanting to move out of Manchester to Cardiff, and I have started working on the website for the new jewellery brand. Excited is not the word. Just need to get some more stock & order new business cards and all systems are a go go. Eeep eeep. Also you may have noticed that I have tweeked the blog, wanted something a bit more clean & fresh!

I'm off to Leeds tomorrow with my friend Danielle to visit some Vintage wholesalers, never been to Leeds before so should be a fun day!
